The peak at left is Kanchenjunga (the world's third highest mountain, 8586m). The high peaks in the centre of the shot are Jomolhari (7314m), Jomolhari II (6935m), Jitchu Drake (6850m) and Tsheri Kang (6526m).
Kanchenjunga lies on the border of Nepal and India, while the mountains in the centre of the shot lie on the border of Bhutan (foreground) and Tibet.
Wow, what a beautiful aerial view of the mountains down below the clouds, as well as the distant mountains above the clouds! Great capture! I love gazing at this most tranquil photo, and it definitely leaves me with a relaxing feeling!
Thanks! Doesn't seem quite so tranquil to me, but my view is tainted by what was at the other end of this flight ...an 11 hour stop over at Bangkok airport!
