Mother and child

Just back from Cambodia and Vietnam, so I'm taking a short break from the backlog of Nepal photos to work on a few from this journey while it's still fresh in my mind.

First thing that my watchers will notice is the major change of subject in some of these photos. I simply don't shoot people usually. Landscape and nature are my thing and I really don't do a good job of portraiture at all! This trip was a very different journey and nature wasn't its main focus. Instead, the culture takes centre stage in Cambodia, so photography here was a strange and new challenge for me.

While I have already spent some time removing people from my temple shots, there will be occasions, like this when I've actually shot people on purpose! Hopefully they're not too bad.
